Drooply (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a water hydration tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Drooply.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
When you use Drooply, you may provide the following information:
- Health profile data: body weight, daily exercise duration, and special health conditions (e.g., pregnancy or nursing status)
- Water intake logs: the amount and time of your water consumption entries
- App preferences: daily hydration target, measurement units, reminder settings, and drink size presets
Information Collected Automatically
- Analytics data: we use PostHog, a product analytics service, to collect anonymous usage data such as screen views, feature interactions, and session recordings. This helps us understand how the app is used and improve the experience. Analytics data is processed on servers located in the European Union.
- Device information: device type and operating system version, collected solely for app compatibility and analytics purposes.
- Push notification tokens: if you enable reminders, we store a device token locally to deliver scheduled notifications. This token is not sent to any external server.
How Your Data Is Stored
All personal data is stored locally on your device. Drooply does not have user accounts, does not require login, and does not transmit your health data, water logs, or personal settings to any external server. Your data stays on your device and is under your control.
If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently removed.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Calculate your personalized daily hydration target
- Track and display your water intake history
- Send you hydration reminders at your chosen intervals
- Improve the app experience through anonymous analytics
Third-Party Services
Drooply uses the following third-party service:
- PostHog (analytics): collects anonymous usage and session replay data to help us improve the app. PostHog’s privacy policy is available at https://posthog.com/privacy. Data is processed in the EU.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties.
Data Retention
- Local data: retained on your device until you manually reset it within the app or delete the app.
- Analytics data: retained by PostHog according to their data retention policies.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data: all your data is visible within the app (Settings, History screens).
- Delete your data: use the “Reset All Data” option in Settings to erase all local data, or simply delete the app.
- Opt out of analytics: you can limit analytics collection by disabling app tracking in your device settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).
Children’s Privacy
Drooply is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Health Disclaimer
Drooply provides general hydration suggestions based on commonly used formulas. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Always consult a healthcare professional for personalized health recommendations.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
